Carbon Credits
The purchase of carbon credits is an internationally recognized solution for companies, people and governments to neutralize carbon emissions from their operations that could not be avoided otherwise. When a company is carbon neutral, it means it reduces its greenhouse gases output and offsets the remaining emissions. One of the most common and cost-effective ways to do so is by purchasing carbon credits, or offsets. There are several types of carbon credits since different activities and projects can lead to a reduction of CO2. Biofílica’s credits are generated through two mechanisms, REDD+ e AR (Afforestation/Reforestation).

What is Legal Reserve?
The Legal Reserve Compensation is an instrument provided in the Forest Code (Federal Law No. 12.651/2012, Art. 66) which is presented as an alternative so that rural owners and squatters who have a Legal Reserve deficit can have the rural property regularized within the environmental aspects without the disposal of its productive areas.
